It's been a pretty hectic week or two. As of yesterday, I have a job in Santa Cruz. Starting August 1, I will be writing math video scripts for Learning in Motion, a curriculum development house on Cooper St in downtown Santa Cruz. And I ( Read more... )

This 12 of 12 was very poignant for me. A year ago today was a great day, in Eureka. Erik was just getting into 12 of 12, too. In fact this was his last LJ entry.

This 12 of 12 was my dad's 70th birthday. I flew to San Antonio to hang out for the weekend. We actually ended up celebrating with my stepmom's family the next night (at The Olive Garden). Today revolved around the cats. Due to poor planning, I absolutely had to go into the city to get dry food from their vet, and then my friend Kristin came over to help me water Clydeberry, i.e. give her subcutaneous fluids to help with her kidney disease. October 12 is the day before Erik's and my wedding anniversary. So normally there might be some trilobite cookies involved, or some symphony-going, or things of that nature. Today . . . not so much.
